This interactive visualization shows the trends and percent change of age-standardized prevalence of overweight and obesity, and obesity alone in children and adolescents (2 to 19 years old) and adult (20+ years old) by sex in 188 countries from 1990 to 2013.
Interact with the visualization by selecting 1) level of prevalence or percent change of prevalence since 1990; 2) the metrics overweight and abese or obese; 3) children or adult population; and 4) population by sex. You are able to sort countries alphabetically or by magnitude of prevalence, which facilitate the identification of countries with critical levels of overweight and abese people. Hovering over the trend lines will show detailed information of data points.
